Mums & Bubs Yoga
A playful and interactive postnatal yoga class. Part movement for you, part bonding and developmental play for your baby.
Is this class for you?
This class is designed for both you and your baby. Part of the class focuses on gentle postnatal yoga, pelvic floor and deep abdominal reconnection, stretching and supportive movement for your recovery after birth. The other part is dedicated to your baby through guided movement, songs, touch, bonding and developmental play.
This class is for you if:
• You want to connect more deeply with your baby through movement and touch
• You'd love to learn simple ways to support your baby's physical and neurological development
• You want gentle movement, pelvic floor and deep core reconnection after birth
• You'd love your baby to experience interaction, stimulation and early social connection with other babies
• You want a class that nurtures both you and your baby together
This class is especially beneficial for non mobile babies. The guided baby movements help support muscular and skeletal development, encourage body awareness and coordination, and create new neurological connections through movement, touch and interaction.
Many mums also notice their babies becoming calmer, more settled and sleeping better after class thanks to the combination of movement, stimulation and connection. Over time, the class also becomes a beautiful little community where babies begin recognising familiar faces, sounds and little friends each week.
Suitable from around 6 weeks postpartum, with all babies welcome.
Safe for your recovery
The yoga and postnatal movement in this class are gentle, supportive and specifically designed for the postnatal body. Your teacher understands the physical changes that come with pregnancy, birth and recovery, and will adapt movements based on where you are in your healing journey.
All baby movements are guided, age appropriate and designed to safely support your baby's physical and neurological development through movement, touch and interaction. The class is intentionally based around repetition, because repetition is how babies learn. Repeating songs, movements and sensory experiences helps babies build familiarity, body awareness, coordination and new neurological connections over time.
If you have any concerns around your recovery, abdominal separation, pelvic floor symptoms or your baby's individual needs, please reach out before your first class so we can guide you with the right support and options.
If you have any medical concerns, please consult your care provider before starting postnatal exercise.
What to expect
Arrive a few minutes early so you and your baby can settle in before class begins.
The class gently flows between time for you and time for your baby. For you, expect supportive postnatal yoga, pelvic floor and deep abdominal reconnection, stretching and release of tension from feeding, carrying and the physical demands of motherhood. For your baby, expect guided movements, songs, touch and developmental play designed to support rolling, coordination, muscular development and new neurological connections through repetition and interaction.
The class is intentionally repetitive because repetition helps babies learn, build familiarity and feel safe. Over time, babies begin recognising the songs, movements, faces and little routines that become part of the class each week.
There's always movement, always connection and always space for real life. Your baby might stay on the mat, want cuddles, feed halfway through or simply observe everything happening around them. All of it is welcome.
Many mums say this class becomes one of the highlights of their week. The combination of moving your own body while bonding with your baby in a supportive environment is something truly special.
What about bub?
There's no expectation for babies to lie quietly or "behave" in this class.
Babies will cry, feed, sleep, move, need cuddles and need you. That's completely normal. Every mum in the room is in the same season of life, and somehow you rarely notice the other babies, only your own.
You're always welcome to pause, feed, settle your baby or simply take a moment whenever you need to. This is a space where real life is welcome, exactly as it is.

What our members say
My favorite yoga class in the world :) I first started coming for the maternity class, which was incredibly helpful. Now I come back with my baby, and he loves the class too. It's a great way to make time for myself while also making my baby happy!
“The Baby & me classes are such a great way to restart training and rebuild your strength while spending time with your Baby. Tatiana is looking after everyone's individual need and the workouts are always so much fun. Attending the session is a highlight of my week.”
“Awesome place! Tatiana is an amazing trainer with lots of experience and fantastic energy. Mum & baby yoga on Fridays is a must try for all mums in the area. She made the place feel like catching up with friends, whilst getting your workout done.”
Common questions
Most mums begin from around 6 weeks postpartum, or whenever they feel ready to start moving again. If you have any medical concerns or specific recovery considerations, please speak with your care provider before starting postnatal exercise.
Not at all. The class is designed to meet you where you are, whether you exercised throughout pregnancy or haven't moved your body in months. You'll work at your own pace with options offered throughout class.
The class is specifically designed for postnatal recovery and rebuilding. There's no pressure to push yourself, keep up or "bounce back." Some mums take things slowly, others are ready for more challenge. Both are completely okay.
All ages are welcome. The developmental activities are especially beneficial for non-mobile babies, but crawlers and older babies join in too.
Honestly, that's very normal.
Babies cry, feed, sleep, need cuddles and sometimes want nothing more than to be held for the entire class. You can pause, feed, settle or simply sit with your baby whenever needed. Nobody is judging you because every mum in the room has been there too.
That's completely fine too. Some days motherhood feels smooth and other days it feels hard before you even leave the house. You're welcome to take breaks, sit out exercises or simply spend part of the class cuddling your baby if that's what the day requires.
Bring a water bottle, comfortable clothing you can move in, and whatever your baby may need during the class. A baby carrier can also be helpful, but isn't essential. All exercise equipment is provided.
Evolvere is located on the first floor and access is via stairs only. There is currently no lift access or dedicated pram parking space inside the studio.
Many mums do still arrive with prams and often leave them outside the studio door at their own discretion. We recommend bringing all valuables upstairs with you. Smaller travel prams that can fold down may also be left neatly on the stair landing if space allows.
Some mums prefer to arrive with a baby carrier instead, especially during the early months.
If you're unsure what will work best for you, please feel free to contact us before your first class.
Perfect. Some babies sleep through the whole session, others stay awake and watch everything happening around them. There's no "right" way for babies to be in these classes.
Most mums walk in feeling nervous the first time. The beautiful part is that everyone is in the same season of life, figuring it out together. The atmosphere is supportive, relaxed and very far from intimidating.
There's limited street parking on Austin Street. The Lane Cove Market Square car park across the road offers 2 hours free, and the Lane Cove Canopy car park is a short walk away.
This class splits time between you and your baby, with guided developmental activities for bub. Mums & Bubs Barre and Power Circuit are more mum-focused workouts with baby beside you. Many mums do a mix.
