Parent gently massaging baby's tummy during a baby massage workshop

Baby Massage

A personalised two-session workshop to help you connect with your baby through their very first language: touch.

Upcoming workshop dates

2-Part Workshop — 16 & 30 August

This workshop is delivered across two relaxed sessions, giving you and your baby plenty of time to learn at a gentle pace.

Spaces are limited — secure your place early to avoid missing out.

Why touch matters

Before your baby understands words, they understand how they are held, soothed and cared for. This workshop teaches you how to use touch with confidence to calm, connect and support your baby's development from the very beginning.

Unlike many baby activities that come and go, baby massage is a skill you'll use almost every day. The techniques you learn can become part of your feeding, settling, bedtime and connection routines throughout infancy, with many families continuing to use elements of baby massage well into the toddler years.

Baby massage may help support relaxation, sleep, digestion, bonding, body awareness and emotional security, while also giving parents practical ways to comfort and connect with their baby.

This is a private, guided experience designed for both parents, not just mums. You and your partner will learn together, gaining practical tools that help you both feel confident in handling, soothing and connecting with your baby.

What to expect from your sessions

The workshop is delivered over two relaxed sessions, allowing plenty of time to learn without rushing or overwhelming your baby.

Babies have a limited window for new experiences before they become tired, hungry or simply need a cuddle. Rather than trying to fit everything into one long session, we've designed the workshop across two visits so you and your baby can learn at a gentle pace, practise each technique with confidence, and truly enjoy the experience together.

Across the two sessions, you'll learn baby massage techniques for the whole body, how to soothe your baby through touch, ways to support digestion and ease discomfort, gentle movements to encourage healthy muscular and skeletal development, simple techniques to promote relaxation and better sleep, and how to recognise your baby's cues and respond with confidence.

Each session is guided, hands on and always adapted to your baby's mood and needs on the day. There is never any pressure for babies to complete the entire routine. Feeding, cuddles and nappy changes are all part of the experience.

Most importantly, you'll leave with practical skills that become part of your everyday parenting. These are techniques you'll use during fussy evenings, after baths, before naps, when little tummies need soothing, and whenever your baby needs comfort and connection. Many families continue using baby massage well into toddlerhood, making this a skill that supports your child for years to come.

Rather than simply attending a class, you're learning a lifelong parenting skill that creates moments of calm, confidence and connection every single day.

FAQ

Common questions

Baby Massage is suitable from around 6 weeks of age. The techniques are adapted to your baby's age, stage of development and individual needs.

Whether your baby is a tiny newborn or an active older baby, we'll tailor the experience accordingly.

Absolutely.

This workshop is designed for both parents to learn together. Many couples find it valuable to develop the same techniques and understanding, allowing both parents to feel confident soothing, handling and connecting with their baby.

That's completely normal.

Babies don't always arrive in the mood we hoped for, and that's okay. If your baby needs to feed, sleep, cuddle, cry or simply take a break, we'll adapt the session around them.

The workshop is designed to work with your baby, not against them.

Most parents use elements of baby massage almost every day.

The techniques naturally become part of feeding, settling, bedtime routines and everyday moments of connection. Many families continue using aspects of baby massage well into the toddler years.

For many parents, this becomes one of the most practical and long lasting skills they learn during the baby years.

Yes.

If you have a group of at least five families, please get in touch and we'll arrange a private group workshop.

Learning alongside friends can be a lovely way to build confidence and connect with other families navigating the same stage of life.

Please bring everything your baby may need during the session, along with comfortable clothing for yourself.

Organic baby massage oil is provided, and you're welcome to bring a baby carrier if you have one.

Evolvere is located on the first floor and access is via stairs only. There is currently no lift access or dedicated pram parking space inside the studio.

Many mums do still arrive with prams and often leave them outside the studio door at their own discretion. We recommend bringing all valuables upstairs with you. Smaller travel prams that can fold down may also be left neatly on the stair landing if space allows.

Some mums prefer to arrive with a baby carrier instead, especially during the early months.

If you're unsure what will work best for you, please feel free to contact us before your first session.

There is limited street parking available on Austin Street.

The Lane Cove Market Square car park directly across the road offers two hours free parking, and The Canopy car park is approximately a four minute walk from the studio.
